History of Dunvegan Gardens

Dunvegan Gardens is a family-owned Grande Prairie business that is operated by Dave, Betty, Chad and Anna Friesen. Dunvgan Gardens has its roots in the Peace River Valley at Dunvegan, where Dave Friesen's father began operations with a commercial vegetable garden in 1952. In 1977, the Friesen family purchased a stretch of land on Highway 40, south of Grande Prairie, to establish a retail facility for plants and related items. In the spring of 1995, The Old Barn Store and Tea House was added to the facility.
